India’s young boxers shone at the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 in Manama, Bahrain, as six pugilists — five girls and one boy — stormed into the finals, while Anant Deshmukh secured a bronze.
Khushi Chand, Chandrika Bhoreshi Pujari, Harnoor Kaur, Ahaana, and Anshika dominated their bouts with emphatic wins, ensuring India’s perfect record in the girls’ semifinals. Among boys, Lanchenba Singh Moibungkhongbam impressed with a commanding 5:0 victory to reach the final.
Trained under national coaches Vinod Kumar and Jitender Raj Singh, India’s boxers will now aim to convert their stellar performances into gold medals.
