Zizou Bergs Extends Winning Streak as Otto Virtanen Stuns Ben Shelton at Wimbledon
Zizou Bergs continued his impressive form by defeating Ugo Humbert 6-2, 7-5, 4-6, 3-6, 6-3 in the first round of Wimbledon 2026, just two days after beating the Frenchman in the Eastbourne final.
The Belgian has now won six consecutive matches after ending a six-match losing streak. Elsewhere, Finland’s Otto Virtanen pulled off the tournament’s biggest shock by saving a match point before defeating world No.5 Ben Shelton in a dramatic five-set thriller.
Virtanen, ranked No.140, claimed his maiden Top-20 victory, while sixth seed Taylor Fritz comfortably advanced with a straight-sets win over lucky loser Dusan Lajovic.
