IPL 2026: Kohli guides RCB to top spot with win over LSG

Virat Kohli led from the front with a brisk 49 as Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Lucknow Super Giants by five wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in IPL 2026.

Chasing 147, RCB recovered from an early setback to reach the target in just 15.1 overs. Kohli’s aggressive approach in the powerplay set the tone, while Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma added quick runs in the middle overs. Despite late wickets, Tim David and Romario Shepherd sealed the win comfortably. Earlier, disciplined bowling led by Rasikh Dar restricted LSG to 146.

The victory takes RCB to the top of the points table with eight points from five matches.
