Sunrisers Hyderabad crush Punjab Kings by 33 runs to go top of IPL 2026 table

Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a dominant all-round display to beat Punjab Kings by 33 runs in Match 49 of IPL 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

After being put in to bat, SRH piled up 235/4 riding on superb half-centuries from Heinrich Klaasen (69) and Ishan Kishan (55), with Punjab’s sloppy fielding proving costly after multiple dropped chances.

In reply, PBKS lost early wickets and never truly recovered despite a sensational unbeaten 107 from Cooper Connolly. Pat Cummins and Shivang Kumar picked up two wickets each as SRH climbed to the top of the points table.

Brief Scores

Sunrisers Hyderabad – 235/4 in 20 overs (Heinrich Klaasen 69, Ishan Kishan 55; Yuzvendra Chahal 1-32)

Punjab Kings – 202/7 in 20 overs (Cooper Connolly 107 not out, Marcus Stoinis 28; Pat Cummins 2-34, Shivang Kumar 2-45)
