Shreyas Iyer rues dropped catches after Punjab Kings loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad

Shreyas Iyer admitted that dropped catches and poor execution proved costly as Punjab Kings suffered a 33-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

Punjab dropped crucial chances of Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen, both of whom punished them with half-centuries as SRH posted a massive 235/4.

PBKS also lost early wickets in the chase, slipping to 57/3 in the powerplay. Despite a superb unbeaten 107 from Cooper Connolly, Punjab fell short as SRH tightened their grip on the playoff race with an important victory.
