IPL 2026 final shifted to Narendra Modi Stadium from Bengaluru
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has shifted the Indian Premier League 2026 Final to Narendra Modi Stadium on May 31, instead of Bengaluru as originally planned.
The board cited “certain requirements” from local authorities and the state association as the reason behind the venue change. Bengaluru had earlier been cleared to host matches despite last year’s tragic stampede outside the stadium.
Qualifier 1 will be played in Dharamsala on May 26, while Chandigarh will host the Eliminator on May 27 and Qualifier 2 on May 29. The winner of the final will lift the IPL trophy at the world’s largest cricket stadium.
