Sri Lanka booked their place in the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 final with a composed four-wicket victory over Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium. Chasing 131, the defending champions slipped to 31/3 inside the Powerplay after Fatima Sana dismissed Chamari Athapaththu and Sanjana Kavindi, while Sadia Iqbal removed Hasini Perera.
Harshita Samarawickrama and Kavisha Dilhari then steadied the innings with a crucial 67-run partnership. Harshita scored 36, while Dilhari made 33 before both were dismissed by Fatima in the 17th over. Nilakshi de Silva (18*) and Kaushani Nuthyangana (10*) completed the chase as Sri Lanka reached 134/6 in 18.4 overs.
Earlier, Fatima Sana top-scored for Pakistan with an unbeaten 47 off 36 balls, while Shawaal Zulfiqar contributed 24 as Pakistan posted 130/5. Fatima also claimed 4/38 with the ball, but her all-round effort could not prevent Pakistan’s defeat. Sri Lanka will face India in Sunday’s final.
