Skipper Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits guided South Africa Women to a dominant 10-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in a rain-curtailed ICC Women’s World Cup match at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium.
Chasing a DLS target of 121, the Proteas cruised home in 14.5 overs with an unbroken 121-run stand. Wolvaardt struck an unbeaten 60, while Brits added a fluent 55.
Earlier, Sri Lanka managed 105 for 7 in 20 overs, with Vishmi Gunaratne scoring 34 and Nonkululeko Mlaba claiming 3 for 30.
