Shai Hope Reflects on Missed Moments After West Indies’ T20 World Cup Exit
Shai Hope admitted his team fell short in crucial phases after West Indies were knocked out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup by India at Eden Gardens.
Despite posting 195/4, powered by late hitting, the Windies could not contain India, who chased the target thanks to Sanju Samson’s unbeaten 97.
Hope felt his side were “a few runs short” on a good batting surface and highlighted key spells from Jasprit Bumrah. He praised Shimron Hetmyer, Matthew Forde and Akeal Hosein for their efforts but stressed the need to seize defining moments in high-pressure knockout matches.
