Rishabh Pant Blames Extra Runs as LSG Fall to DC
Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant admitted that conceding extra runs proved costly in their six-wicket defeat to Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026.
Defending a modest 142, LSG made early inroads but failed to sustain pressure. Pant felt a few more Powerplay wickets could have turned the game. He also highlighted the lack of partnerships with the bat despite helpful conditions early on. “When you score 140, you try too much,” Pant said, reflecting on the team’s approach.
While LSG’s seamers showed promise, DC’s calm chase exposed the total’s inadequacy. Pant, however, remained optimistic and hinted at continuing his role in the top order.
