Vishvanath Suresh, Sachin Shine at Asian Boxing Championships

India’s Vishvanath Suresh and Sachin delivered strong performances on Day 3 of the Asian Boxing Championships 2026, advancing in their respective categories.

Suresh dominated Kyrgyzstan’s Bekzat Ergeshov with a 5-0 unanimous decision in the men’s 50kg bout, showcasing superior technique and control. He now faces reigning world champion Sanzhar Tashkenbay of Kazakhstan. In the 60kg division, Sachin secured a hard-fought 4-1 split decision win over Mongolia’s Buyandalai Bayarkhuu. Earlier, Preeti Pawar, Priya, and Deepak also registered impressive wins, highlighting India’s strong campaign.
