Pakistan bounced back to beat West Indies by eight wickets in the second Test at Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad, levelling the two-match series 1-1. Chasing just 75, Abdullah Shafique and captain Babar Azam guided Pakistan to victory after early wickets.
Shafique, recalled as Shan Masood’s replacement, starred with an unbeaten 160 in the first innings and was named Player of the Match. Pakistan’s spinners dominated, with Sajid Khan taking eight wickets in the match and Ali Usman claiming six.
The victory ended Pakistan’s eight-match away Test losing streak and marked their first Test win at Queen’s Park Oval since 1977.
