New Zealand pacers Blair Tickner and debutant Michael Rae shone on the opening day of the second Test in Wellington, bowling out West Indies for 205 in 75 overs.
Tickner impressed with 4 for 32 before leaving the field with a suspected shoulder dislocation, while Rae claimed three wickets after a shaky start. West Indies began well with a 66-run opening stand, but regular strikes halted their progress. At 175-4, they seemed set for a strong total, but a late collapse derailed them. New Zealand closed the day at 24-0, trailing by 181 runs and firmly in control.
