Jadumani Singh Beats Pakistan's Rehman to Reach Quarterfinals
India’s Mandengbam Jadumani Singh continued his dominant run at the Commonwealth Games 2026 by defeating Pakistan’s Rehman Sumama 5-0 in the men’s 55kg Round of 16 to reach the quarterfinals.
Jadumani controlled the contest from start to finish with sharp combinations, quick footwork and disciplined defence, earning unanimous approval from all five judges. Three judges scored the bout 30-27, while the other two awarded him a 29-28 victory. The win follows his opening-round 5-0 triumph over Scotland’s Aaron Cullen, making it two consecutive unanimous victories in Glasgow.
Jadumani will now face the winner of the Zambia vs South Africa bout in the quarterfinals on July 28, with a place in the semifinals at stake.
