India Women Begin T20 World Cup Warm-Ups with 26-Run Win Over West Indies

India Women kicked off their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 preparations with a convincing 26-run victory over West Indies Women in Cardiff.

Batting first, India posted 179/8 in 20 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 56 off 40 balls from Bharti Fulmali and 39 from Smriti Mandhana. Afy Fletcher was the standout bowler for West Indies with figures of 4/23. In reply, West Indies managed 153/8 despite Deandra Dottin’s 49 and Shemaine Campbelle’s 25. India’s spinners dominated the chase, with Shreyanka Patil claiming 4/36 and Radha Yadav taking 3/25.

The win provides India with valuable momentum ahead of the tournament as they continue fine-tuning their combinations for the World Cup.
