Ben Stokes Investigated by ECB After Nightclub Incident Following England’s Lord’s Test Victory
England Test captain Ben Stokes is facing an ECB investigation after reportedly being involved in a nightclub incident following England’s 115-run victory over New Zealand in the first Test at Lord’s.
Fast bowler Gus Atkinson is also part of the probe, with both players alleged to have breached team protocols by attending a nightclub in the early hours of Monday. The incident has reignited concerns over England’s off-field discipline following criticism during the recent Ashes series in Australia. The ECB confirmed it is gathering information before deciding on any action ahead of the second Test at The Oval.
If disciplinary measures are taken against Stokes, vice-captain Harry Brook could potentially lead England in the upcoming match.
