India Slip to Narrow 2-3 Loss Against Belgium in Azlan Shah Cup 2025

India delivered a spirited fight but lost 2-3 to Belgium in a rain-affected, rescheduled Sultan Azlan Shah Cup match on Tuesday.

Abhishek (33’) and Shilanand Lakra (57’) scored for India, while Belgium struck through Roman Duvekot (17’, 57’) and Nicolas De Kerpel (45’). India defended well early, with goalkeeper Pawan making key saves as Belgium applied pressure. After trailing 1-0 at halftime, India equalised through Abhishek, but Belgium regained control via a penalty-corner strike. Lakra’s late goal narrowed the gap, but Belgium held on.

India next face Malaysia on November 26, with all matches streamed live on FanCode.
