South Africa Dominate as India Stumble to 27/2 Chasing 549 on Day 4

India ended Day 4 at 27/2 while chasing a massive 549 after South Africa declared at 260/5, led by Tristan Stubbs’ superb 94.

Marco Jansen struck early, removing Yashasvi Jaiswal, before Simon Harmer bowled KL Rahul to leave India reeling. Nightwatchman Kuldeep Yadav and B Sai Sudharsan survived to stumps. Earlier, Jadeja sparked India’s fightback with wickets of Rickelton and Markram, while Sundar removed Bavuma. But a strong partnership between de Zorzi and Stubbs restored South Africa’s control, pushing the lead beyond 500.

With a commanding 521-run advantage, the Proteas remain firmly ahead heading into the final day.
