India Crowned Champions Again at Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025
The Indian women’s kabaddi team clinched the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup in Dhaka, defeating Chinese Taipei 35–28 in the final to secure their second consecutive title.
India dominated the tournament, winning all group matches before overcoming Iran 33–21 in the semifinals. Coaches Manpreet Singh and Ajay Thakur hailed the team’s belief, teamwork, and growing global impact of women’s kabaddi. Chinese Taipei also impressed with an unbeaten group run and a semifinal win over hosts Bangladesh.
With 11 nations participating, the event underscored the sport’s rapid worldwide rise.
