Captain Shai Hope and vice-captain Rovman Powell powered West Indies to a 16-run win over Bangladesh in the first T20I at Chattogram on Monday.
Struggling at 82/3 in the 15th over, the duo unleashed a late assault, adding an unbeaten 83 off 41 balls to post 165/3. Hope remained unbeaten on 46 off 28, while Powell, in his 100th T20I, smashed 44 not out off 28.
Bangladesh faltered early in reply, collapsing to 42/4 before being bowled out for 149. Jason Holder and Jayden Seales took three wickets each. West Indies lead the three-match series 1-0.
