Klaasen Praises Ishan Kishan’s Leadership, Calls Him ‘Superb Captain’
Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Heinrich Klaasen has heaped praise on stand-in skipper Ishan Kishan, calling his leadership “phenomenal” in IPL 2026.
Klaasen highlighted Kishan’s calm decision-making, willingness to seek advice, and ability to maintain a relaxed dressing room environment as key strengths. Despite SRH’s mixed start, Klaasen has been in fine form with 145 runs in three matches. He also acknowledged the challenge of facing spinners and named Yuzvendra Chahal as his toughest opponent in the IPL.
Looking ahead, Klaasen stressed the importance of building momentum, especially with key home fixtures coming up, while reiterating that IPL remains the toughest franchise T20 competition in the world.
