New Zealand have named a spin-heavy squad for next month’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, led by captain Mitchell Santner. With most pool matches set at Chennai’s spin-friendly Chepauk Stadium, the Black Caps have strengthened their spin and all-round options, including Ish Sodhi, Rachin Ravindra and Michael Bracewell.
The squad also features a strong pace attack and an experienced batting lineup as New Zealand look to adapt quickly to subcontinent conditions.
Squad: Mitchell Santner (capt), Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Daryl Mitchell, Adam Milne, James Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Tim Seifert, Ish Sodhi.
