Towhid Hridoy scored an unbeaten 40 as Bangladesh national cricket team defeated Australia national cricket team by five wickets in the second ODI in Dhaka, securing their first-ever bilateral ODI series win against Australia.
Chasing a revised DLS target of 192 in 41 overs, Bangladesh reached 195/5 with six overs to spare. Earlier, Australia recovered from 0/3 thanks to unbeaten 55 from Marnus Labuschagne and 52 by Xavier Bartlett to post 187/8.
Bangladesh pacers Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed claimed three wickets each before Hridoy and captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz guided the hosts to a memorable series-clinching victory.
