Zverev Storms Into French Open Final, One Win Away From Maiden Grand Slam Title

Alexander Zverev moved one step closer to his maiden Grand Slam title after defeating Jakub Mensik 7-5, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 in the French Open semifinal at Stade Roland Garros.

The German produced a composed display over three hours and one minute to secure his second French Open final appearance and fourth major final overall. Zverev, who finished runner-up in Paris last year, has lost only two sets throughout the tournament and now has another opportunity to capture the elusive Grand Slam crown. Mensik fought back strongly in the third set after a medical timeout, but Zverev regained control in the fourth.

The 29-year-old will now face either Flavio Cobolli or Matteo Arnaldi in Sunday’s final.
