FC Barcelona have completed the signing of England winger Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United on a six-year contract worth around €70 million, plus €10 million in add-ons. The 25-year-old becomes only the third English player to represent Barcelona after Gary Lineker and Marcus Rashford.
Gordon, who passed his medical on Thursday, revealed he had dreamed of playing for Barcelona since childhood and even learned Spanish in anticipation of one day joining the club. He joins after scoring 39 goals in 152 appearances for Newcastle and has earned 17 caps for England, scoring twice for the national team.
