Ruturaj Gaikwad credited the bowling unit for Chennai Super Kings’ resurgence in IPL 2026 and hailed Sanju Samson as the backbone of their batting after the eight-wicket win over Delhi Capitals.
Gaikwad praised Samson’s unbeaten 87, saying the wicketkeeper-batter has added stability and confidence to the middle order. He also highlighted the contributions of bowlers like Akeal Hosein, Jamie Overton and Anshul Kamboj for quietly delivering under pressure.
Gaikwad also lauded youngster Kartik Sharma for his composed unbeaten 41, backing him to make bigger contributions ahead.
