The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to impose a hefty fine of five million Pakistani rupees (around USD 17,900) on underperforming male cricketers following the team’s Super Eight exit in T20 World Cup 2026 in Sri Lanka, according to reports.
PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi was reportedly upset with the team’s display, especially during the February 15 clash against India, where tactical errors and pressure handling drew criticism.
Sources said Naqvi had “enough” after consecutive tournament failures. While some reports claim fines have already been issued, official confirmation is still awaited from the board.
