West Indies sealed a commanding nine-wicket win over Nepal in the T20 World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium.
Nepal recovered from 22/3 to post 133/8, thanks to Dipendra Singh Airee’s fighting 58 and late hitting from Sompal Kami. Jason Holder starred with 4/27. In reply, Shai Hope (60*) and Shimron Hetmyer (46*) dominated the chase after Brandon King’s early dismissal, guiding the Caribbean side to 134/1 in 15.2 overs.
The victory secured West Indies’ place in the Super Eights while ending Nepal’s campaign in the tournament.
