Sinner cruised past Australia’s James Duckworth in straight sets at Rod Laver Arena, extending his unbeaten Grand Slam record against Australian players. Fritz overcame Czech Vit Kopriva in four sets, firing 15 aces to seal his third consecutive third-round appearance in Melbourne.

In the women’s draw, Osaka produced another strong three-set performance to defeat Sorana Cirstea, setting up a clash with Australian qualifier Maddison Inglis as she targets a deep run at the season’s first Grand Slam.
