Hosts India were crowned Squash World Cup champions for the first time after a commanding 3–0 win over top seeds Hong Kong, China in the final at Chennai’s Express Avenue Mall on Sunday.

Veteran Joshna Chinappa set the tone with a four-game victory before Abhay Singh sealed the second point with a dominant straight-games win. Teenager Anahat Singh then displayed remarkable composure to clinch the title for India. Backed by a rousing home crowd, India delivered a flawless performance, becoming only the fifth nation to win a major World Squash team championship and marking a historic moment for Indian squash.
