Jacob Duffy starred with 4-35 as New Zealand crushed West Indies by eight wickets in the fifth T20I at Dunedin to clinch the series 3-1.
Duffy’s early strikes reduced the visitors to 21-4 before they managed 140 in 18.4 overs, with Roston Chase (38) and Romario Shepherd (36) offering resistance. New Zealand chased down the target in 15.4 overs, led by Devon Conway’s unbeaten 47 and Tim Robinson’s 45. Duffy, who became the first New Zealander with five four-wicket hauls in T20Is, was named Player of the Series.
The teams now head into a three-match ODI series starting Sunday in Christchurch.
