Quinton de Kock’s stunning unbeaten 123 and Nandre Burger’s four-wicket burst powered South Africa to an emphatic eight-wicket win over Pakistan in the second ODI at Faisalabad on Thursday.
Chasing 270, De Kock, playing only his second match since reversing retirement, shared stands of 81 with Lhuan-dre Pretorius (46) and 153 with Tony de Zorzi (76) to seal victory with 9.5 overs left.
Earlier, Burger’s 4-46 reduced Pakistan to 22-3 before Saim Ayub (53), Salman Agha (69), and Mohammad Nawaz (59) lifted them to 269-9. The series is now level 1-1, with the decider set for Saturday at the same venue.
