Tanzid Hasan Makes History as Bangladesh Dominate Australia in Darwin Test

Tanzid Hasan became the first Bangladeshi to score a Test century in Australia as Bangladesh reached 351-6 at stumps on day two of the first Test in Darwin.

Tanzid smashed 101 from 188 balls, including eight fours and a six, while captain Najmul Hossain Shanto added an impressive 84. Bangladesh now lead by 153 runs with four wickets remaining after bowling Australia out for 198 in the first innings. Tanzid and Mominul Haque shared a 102-run partnership before Mominul fell for 49. Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim then attacked the Australian bowlers, but Australia struck with the second new ball to remove three batters in quick succession.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz remained unbeaten on 32, while Hasan Mahmud was 13 not out.
