Jacks Calls POTM His Best as England Edge New Zealand
After winning his fourth Player of the Match award in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Will Jacks termed it his best as England edged New Zealand by four wickets at R. Premadasa Stadium.
Chasing 160, England recovered from early blows thanks to Jacks’ 32 off 18 and Rehan Ahmed’s unbeaten 19 off seven. Jacks said clarity and calculated risks on a slow surface proved decisive.
Despite Glenn Phillips’ fightback, England held their nerve, sealing victory with three balls to spare and confirming their unbeaten Super 8 run en route to the semifinals.
