During the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka, an unnamed Pakistan player was reported for allegedly misbehaving with a female hotel staff member in Kandy ahead of the team’s final Super 8 match.
According to reports, the incident was raised with team manager Navaid Cheema, who apologised on the player’s behalf and imposed a fine. Although Pakistan won the match, they failed to reach the semifinals on net run rate. The matter may now be referred to the Pakistan Cricket Board disciplinary committee for further action.
