South Africa Women continued their dream run in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, crushing Pakistan by 150 runs via DLS at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium on Tuesday.
Laura Wolvaardt’s classy 90 and Marizanne Kapp’s all-round brilliance (68* and 3/20) powered the Proteas to a commanding total of 312/9 in a rain-hit 40-over contest.
Persistent rain led to multiple DLS revisions, with Pakistan finally chasing 234 in 20 overs. They faltered under pressure, managing just 83/7. The victory, South Africa’s fifth straight, sealed Pakistan’s exit and marked the Proteas’ best-ever World Cup winning streak.
