Harmanpreet Singh Stars as Soorma HC Beat HIL GC 3-1 in HIL 2026
Soorma Hockey Club registered their first win of the Men’s Hockey India League 2026 with a comfortable 3-1 victory over HIL Governing Council at Ranchi.
Captain Harmanpreet Singh led from the front, scoring twice through trademark drag-flicks, while Gurjant Singh added a fine field goal. Soorma dominated early, converting a penalty corner late in the first quarter before Gurjant doubled the lead in the second. HIL GC struggled after Kane Russell’s green card, conceding again early in the third quarter.
Russell later pulled one back, but the damage was done as Soorma sealed a crucial morale-boosting win.
