Shubman Gill’s Unbeaten 84 Powers India to Seven-Wicket Win Over Afghanistan

Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a sublime unbeaten 84 as India defeated Afghanistan by seven wickets in a rain-curtailed 25-over-a-side ODI at the HPCA Stadium.

Chasing 195, Gill struck 11 fours and two sixes in a commanding 66-ball knock to guide India home with 13 balls remaining. Debutants Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey starred earlier with three wickets each as India bowled out Afghanistan for 194 despite Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s brilliant 102. Rohit Sharma provided a quick start before being run out, while Ishan Kishan impressed with a 22-ball 34 on his ODI return.

KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 39 off 19 balls as India comfortably took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
