shafali-verma-79-india-beat-sri-lanka-third-t20i-series-win
Shafali Verma produced a breathtaking unbeaten 79 off 42 balls to power India to a commanding eight-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the third T20I at Thiruvananthapuram, sealing the five-match series 3-0.
After Renuka Singh Thakur (4/21) and Deepti Sharma (3/18) restricted Sri Lanka to 112/7, Shafali’s explosive knock featuring 11 fours and three sixes took India home with 6.4 overs to spare. Despite losing Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali dominated throughout, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur chipped in with 21 not out. Earlier, Sri Lanka’s Imesha Dulani top-scored with 27, but the total proved insufficient against India’s dominance.
