Rashid Khan Laments Middle-Over Collapse in GT’s Narrow Loss

Gujarat Titans stand-in captain Rashid Khan admitted that a middle-overs collapse cost his side in their six-run defeat to Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026. Chasing 211, GT were well-placed before losing key wickets in the 12th and 13th overs, which halted their momentum despite Sai Sudharsan’s fluent knock.

Rashid felt the target was achievable on a batting-friendly surface but credited RR for executing well at the death. He also praised his bowlers for restricting Rajasthan to 210 after a strong start.

Despite the setback, Rashid remains optimistic, stating the team will learn from mistakes and bounce back. He added Shubman Gill is likely to return soon.
