PSG retain Champions League title after dramatic penalty shootout win over Arsenal
Paris Saint-Germain successfully defended their UEFA Champions League crown after defeating Arsenal on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the final at the Puskás Aréna.
Arsenal took an early lead through Kai Havertz, but PSG equalised when Ousmane Dembélé converted a penalty. Neither side could find a winner in extra time, sending the contest to a shootout. PSG held their nerve from the spot, while Arsenal suffered crucial misses from Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Magalhães.
The victory made PSG the first team since Real Madrid in 2018 to retain the Champions League title.
