Paarl Royals Dominate MI Cape Town in Historic Newlands Victory
Paarl Royals made SA20 history at Newlands by beating MI Cape Town there for the first time, completing a Season 4 Western Cape derby double with a seven-wicket bonus-point win.
The victory lifted the Royals to second on 13 points, two behind Joburg Super Kings. Sikandar Raza starred again, following his debut 3/27 with a match-winning 4/13, well supported by Nqobani Mokoena (2/10) and Ottneil Baartman (2/8) as MI Cape Town were bowled out for 88, their lowest SA20 total.
In the chase, Asa Tribe and Rubin Hermann steadied early nerves before David Miller and Kyle Verreynne finished calmly together.
