Noor Ahmad shines as Chennai Super Kings outplay Kolkata Knight Riders

Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad played a key role in Chennai Super Kings’ win over Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in IPL 2026.

The left-arm wrist-spinner used the conditions cleverly, exploiting slight grip off the surface to control the middle overs. After a slow start to the season, Noor returned to form with a disciplined spell, building pressure and restricting scoring. He said humid conditions made it challenging, but focusing on the right areas helped him succeed.

Noor also downplayed the pitch being heavily spin-friendly, calling it more about subtle hold. Backed by strong crowd support, CSK delivered a clinical performance to secure an important victory.
