New Zealand Clinch Historic ODI Series Win in India
New Zealand scripted history by defeating India by 41 runs in the ODI series decider at Indore to seal a memorable 2-1 triumph.
Daryl Mitchell (137) and Glenn Phillips (106) powered the visitors to a formidable 337/8 before disciplined bowling, led by Kyle Jamieson and Zakary Foulkes, restricted India to 296. Virat Kohli fought valiantly with a superb 124, his 54th ODI century, but lacked support as wickets fell regularly.
The result marked New Zealand’s first-ever bilateral ODI series win on Indian soil and India’s fifth home ODI series defeat since 2010.
