The New York Knicks captured their first NBA championship in 53 years with a thrilling 94-90 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

Led by a spectacular 45-point performance from Jalen Brunson, the Knicks completed a 4-1 series triumph and secured their first title since 1973. Mikal Bridges contributed 14 points, while Josh Hart added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Victor Wembanyama recorded 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Spurs, but San Antonio fell short as the Knicks completed a historic championship run.
