Nathan Lyon Overtakes McGrath, Moves Sixth on All-Time Test Wicket List
Off-spinner Nathan Lyon reached a major career milestone on day two of the third Ashes Test in Adelaide, claiming his 564th Test wicket to surpass Glenn McGrath and move into sixth on the all-time list.
The 38-year-old bowled Ben Duckett in a sensational opening over that also dismissed Ollie Pope. Lyon, who has played 141 Tests, called the achievement “humbling” and credited his teammates for their support. With Stuart Broad and Anil Kumble next on his sights, Lyon remains in top form and plans to continue his long-standing international career.
