Mohamed Ouabhi Says Morocco Are ‘Unstoppable’ Ahead of FIFA World Cup Round of 16 Clash

Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouabhi believes the Atlas Lions have the quality and confidence to make another deep FIFA World Cup run after eliminating the Netherlands in the Round of 32.

Ouabhi said Morocco’s historic 2022 World Cup campaign transformed the team’s mentality, giving players and supporters greater belief. However, he warned against underestimating Round of 16 opponents Canada, insisting every knockout match will be challenging. The coach said Morocco could surpass their 2022 semi-final achievement if they perform at their best, adding that “no one can stop us” when they play their natural game.

Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman also praised Morocco, calling them one of Africa’s strongest football nations.
