Mirra Andreeva Wins Maiden Grand Slam Title with French Open Triumph

Teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva claimed her maiden Grand Slam title after defeating qualifier Maja Chwalinska 6-3, 6-2 in the French Open women’s singles final at Stade Roland Garros.

The 19-year-old Russian became the youngest women’s champion in Paris since Monica Seles won the title in 1992. Andreeva capped a remarkable tournament run with a composed display despite windy conditions, securing victory in one hour and 22 minutes. An emotional Andreeva celebrated with coach Conchita Martinez after lifting the trophy.

Having reached the semifinals in 2023, Andreeva completed her rapid rise by winning the biggest title of her career and cementing her status as one of tennis’s brightest young stars.
