Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi has captured the 2025 MLS Golden Boot, finishing with 29 goals and 19 assists in his second full season with the Herons.
Messi outscored LAFC’s Denis Bouanga and Nashville’s Sam Surridge (24 each) to become Miami’s first-ever Golden Boot winner and the first Argentine to claim the award since 2021. His three goals and an assist in a 5-2 win over Nashville took his tally to 48 goal contributions—just one shy of Carlos Vela’s 2019 record.
Messi now eyes back-to-back MVP titles as Miami enters the MLS Cup Playoffs as the No. 3 seed.
