Christopher Nkunku returns to RB Leipzig
Christopher Nkunku has returned to RB Leipzig on a season-long loan from AC Milan, with the Bundesliga club holding an option to make the transfer permanent.
The French attacker returns to the club where he enjoyed a highly successful four-year spell, scoring 70 goals and providing 56 assists in 172 competitive appearances. Nkunku helped Leipzig win the German Cup in 2022 and 2023 before leaving the club. The 28-year-old said he was delighted to return and is ready to contribute immediately. Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schafer revealed that Nkunku was determined to rejoin the club despite interest from other European sides.
Nkunku said his connection with Leipzig remained special and that he had continued following the club after his departure. He is now set to begin another chapter at Leipzig.
